Burg Feuerstein is a private airfield perched on a forested plateau above the Wiesent valley in Franconia, roughly 25 km southeast of Bamberg and within 40 km of central Nuremberg. The site is best known as a youth and retreat centre operated by the Diocese of Eichstätt, and the airfield reflects that context: it is a short grass strip serving light private aviation, gliders, and touring aircraft, not a commercial or business aviation gateway.
