Mission guide

Which jet for which mission?

Match cabin class to distance and passenger count. The cheapest suitable category usually wins on short hops; range and cabin volume matter more as distance grows.

City hop / same-day return

About 600 km

Paris–London, Geneva–Nice, Milan–Zurich. A very light or light jet keeps cost and runway needs low while still beating airline door-to-door time.

Best fit: Very Light Jet · Light Jet · Midsize Jet

From: €3,000 / hour

Cross-Europe business day

About 1,500 km

London–Madrid, Paris–Athens, Frankfurt–Lisbon. Light to midsize jets cover these legs non-stop with a usable cabin for work and a small team.

Best fit: Light Jet · Midsize Jet · Super Midsize Jet

From: €3,000 / hour

Transcontinental / multi-stop Europe–US East

About 5,500 km

Super-midsize and heavy cabins add stand-up height, baggage volume and the range buffer you need when weather or winds shift.

Best fit: Super Midsize Jet · Heavy Jet · Ultra Long Range

From: €4,700 / hour

Intercontinental non-stop

About 10,000 km

Ultra long-range only — non-stop London–Singapore, New York–Dubai class missions with full cabin rest and conference layouts.

Best fit: Ultra Long Range

From: €10,500 / hour

Emissions

How to choose

Four questions before you pick a jet

Answer these in order and you will almost always land in the right cabin class — then compare two or three models inside it.

  1. 01

    How many people are flying?

Count every passenger including staff. Light jets suit 4–7; midsize 7–9; heavy and ultra for 10+ or when you need a true lounge layout.

  2. 02

What is the longest non-stop leg?

Use great-circle distance plus a weather buffer. If the leg is near the aircraft’s published range, step up a category rather than risk a fuel stop.

  3. 03

    Which airports matter?

Short runways, mountain approaches or city airports can eliminate heavy jets. Light and some midsize types open many more FBOs.

  4. 04

Do you need stand-up cabin or baggage volume?

Golf bags, ski cases, pets or a full galley push you toward super-midsize and above even on shorter routes.
