The result was a 900 with the same wide trijet cabin and the same modern flight deck, calibrated for the four- and five-hour intra-European and US-domestic sectors where most operators actually flew, at a lower acquisition cost than the EX. Range sits at 4,695 km, cruise at 969 km/h. It carries 12 passengers (up to 14), with around 20 in European charter. The C is the 900 that matched the equipment to the mission, not the brochure.

Its case is calibration: the full 900 cabin, the modern Collins glass cockpit, the right range for European and US-domestic missions — without paying the EX's auxiliary-tank price for legs the buyer wouldn't actually fly.
