The 2,800-metre runway at LEIB handles large-cabin jets without payload restriction, and the VIP terminal delivers a genuinely private experience — separate immigration desks, dedicated baggage delivery, direct vehicle pull-up from the ramp. In peak season, however, parking saturation routinely forces operators to position aircraft off-island at Palma de Mallorca or Barcelona until the departure window opens. Mission planning for summer Ibiza operations must begin weeks, not days, in advance. Ground transport on the island is entirely via single-carriageway road, and evening transfers between 18:00 and 22:00 on the main arterials can add 15–20 minutes during peak demand. Helicopter connections to Formentera are frequently embedded in multi-leg itineraries. Outside the June–September window, IBZ reverts to a notably relaxed operation with minimal congestion and competitive handling rates — the same infrastructure without the logistical overhead of high season.
