Slot coordination is required: AGP is a Level 2 coordinated airport during summer scheduling season, meaning advance slot requests are mandatory for peak windows. PPR is not required for general aviation per se, but ground handlers strongly recommend confirming slots and handling at least 48 hours out during July and August. Elevation sits at 53 ft AMSL — density altitude is a non-factor for any aircraft type. Customs clearance is available on-site, H24, with Schengen exit and entry processing handled at the general aviation terminal.

Transfers & Connections

Road transfer to Marbella via the A-7 coastal motorway or the AP-7 toll road runs approximately 55–65 minutes under normal traffic conditions, and 45 minutes in off-peak hours. Puerto Banús marina is roughly 50km from the apron. Sotogrande and La Reserva are approximately 80km southwest — some operators position clients via helicopter from the airport ramp directly to estate helipads, significantly reducing ground time. The centre of Málaga city is 10–12 minutes by road, relevant for corporate arrivals tied to the Málaga Tech Park (Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía) or the port's conference infrastructure. Gibraltar Airport serves as an alternate for clients based in the western end of the coast, though its runway and slot restrictions make AGP the default for heavy jets. Connecting to Madrid Barajas or Barcelona is straightforward on same-day turnarounds.
