Crews planning full-fuel departures on long-range heavies should assess performance data carefully, particularly on hot July afternoons when runway temperatures can spike. H24 operations are available, though late-night arrivals post-curfew periods should be pre-coordinated with handling.

Porto Cervo marina is approximately 30 kilometres from OLB, translating to roughly 35–40 minutes by road via the SS125. Porto Rotondo, a secondary luxury resort hub, is approximately 20 minutes from the terminal. Olbia city centre is 4 kilometres, reachable in under 10 minutes. Ground logistics are straightforward in shoulder season but require pre-booked ground transport during peak summer: rental car availability collapses in August and helicopter transfers to the Costa Smeralda villas — while available — must be arranged well in advance through the FBO or a dedicated concierge operator. The Arzachena area and Baja Sardinia are within 45 minutes by road. For clients routing through Italy with multiple stops, OLB pairs naturally with Cagliari (CAG) to the south or, for northern Italian access, with Venice Marco Polo.
