An arrival at Velana after 16:00 local means your passengers spend the night in Malé before reaching their resort the following morning. This is not a planning footnote — it is the most common logistical error on this route.

Work backwards from seaplane transfer time: if the resort is in North Malé Atoll, the seaplane is 15–25 minutes from Velana. If the resort is in the Baa or Lhaviyani Atolls, the seaplane is 25–45 minutes.
