Why the price per km is so consistent
Across these routes the price per kilometre stays in a narrow €22–28 band on the ultra-long-range cabin. The takeaway: on long-haul private flying you pay for distance and cabin size — not for the prestige of the destination. Two routes of similar length cost roughly the same, whether they end in Singapore or São Paulo.
The cabin premium: same route, very different price
The aircraft matters as much as the distance. On Singapore → London, an ultra-long-range jet costs €305,000 versus €195,000 on a heavy jet — about +56% for the larger cabin, longer legs and bigger fuel reserves. Choosing one cabin down, where the range allows, is the single biggest lever on price.
Methodology
Prices are indicative charter quotes from the Flyius brokerage dataset (snapshot 2026-07-10), covering 811 routes; the 20 shown are the most expensive by ultra-long-range price, deduped to one direction per city pair. Figures are structural catalogue prices in EUR, not a price index — they are not historised, so no trend is implied.
