General aviation handling at AHO is provided on the civil apron adjacent to the passenger terminal. H24 operations are listed, but practical experience suggests that late-night arrivals — particularly outside the June–September window — benefit from advance coordination with ground staff to confirm fuel availability and handling cover. Transfer time from block-in to Alghero's old city is approximately 15–20 minutes by road via the SS291. Stintino and the Asinara peninsula lie roughly 40 km north, accessible in under 45 minutes without summer traffic. For clients targeting Porto Cervo or the Costa Smeralda resorts, Olbia remains the operationally superior choice at 160 km by road; however, when Olbia experiences slot pressure during peak summer weeks, AHO provides a viable alternative entry point with comparable customs capability. Italy operations from the northwest Sardinian corridor connect naturally to the Tyrrhenian Sea routing used by crews transiting between Nice Côte d'Azur and the Italian islands.
