Pavement strength supports high MTOW operations without restriction under standard ISA conditions at this elevation. Slot requirements are minimal compared to Lisbon, which makes Beja operationally attractive for time-sensitive positioning flights or when LIS is saturated during summer peaks. Customs are available on-site, though prior coordination with the handling agent is strongly advised given the military co-use of the facility. H24 operations are supported in principle, but any night movement should be confirmed in advance with the relevant ATS authority.

The regional capital Portugal's Alentejo corridor connects southward toward the Algarve coast (Faro is roughly 130 km, under 90 minutes by road), making Beja a credible alternative entry point for clients targeting Comporta, Melides, or the Vicentine Coast without the congestion of Faro during July and August. Évora, the UNESCO-listed walled city, is approximately 75 km north on the A2/IP2 axis.
