Madrid Barajas (MAD) serves as the primary hub for the region, with full FBO infrastructure and scheduled connections, but CQM offers a compelling slot-free, crowd-free alternative when timing flexibility matters. Drive time to Toledo is approximately 90 minutes; to Barcelona (BCN) by road exceeds four hours, making air positioning between the two cities the rational choice. The airport has no commercial terminal in active use — arrivals proceed directly through the general aviation facility.

The handling infrastructure — though physically extensive given the airport's original commercial scale — now operates at general aviation tempo. There is no internationally branded FBO (no Signature, Jetex, or ExecuJet presence confirmed at this location); handling is provided through the airport's general aviation operator. Catering, ground transport, and crew accommodation arrangements should be confirmed well in advance given the limited local service ecosystem.
