Ultra-long-range heavies such as the Global 7500 should confirm MTOW feasibility with the operator, particularly in summer when maximum temperatures can briefly approach +20°C. Lakselv town centre is approximately 5 kilometres from the terminal. Road access is via E6, the primary Arctic Highway running the length of Norway, which connects LKL north to Nordkapp (roughly 200 km) and south toward Oslo Gardermoen via a multi-hour drive or onward domestic connection. No rail link exists in Finnmark. For clients transiting toward the North Cape, Honningsvåg Airport (HVG) is the closer field but handles only light turboprops; LKL remains the last runway capable of receiving a midsize jet before the continent's northernmost point. Transfer vehicles in Finnmark typically require advance booking, especially in winter when specialist Arctic-equipped transport is necessary for excursions into the interior.
