Henderson Executive Airport (FAA HND / ICAO KHND; IATA HSH) is Clark County's purpose-built general-aviation reliever for the Las Vegas valley, about 12 miles south of the Strip. With no scheduled airline traffic, it is typically the calmest and quickest private-jet option in the market — a genuine contrast to Harry Reid International's shared commercial-and-private ramp. Field elevation is 2,491 ft, and as with any Mojave Desert field, density altitude is a real planning variable for July and August departures on shorter-field or heavier aircraft.

Access & Logistics

Ground transfer to the Strip runs approximately 20 to 25 minutes by car via I-215 and Las Vegas Boulevard, longer than the transfer from Harry Reid but often faster overall once ramp and security time are factored in on event weekends. The airport operates 24 hours; the FBO's published hours are 05:00–22:30, with after-hours service available by arrangement and subject to a fee. Event-weekend ramp capacity is finite, so parking should be confirmed early — especially around the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, CES, and major Strip residencies and conventions, when Henderson fills alongside Harry Reid.

Airfield Capabilities

Henderson operates two parallel asphalt runways: 17R/35L at 1,982m (6,501 ft) and 17L/35R at 1,524m (5,001 ft). The primary runway comfortably handles light, midsize, and most super-midsize jets — Phenom 300, Citation XLS/Latitude, Challenger 350, Gulfstream G280 — though performance margins should be checked against field elevation and summer density altitude. There is no ILS approach; RNAV (GPS) and VOR approaches serve both runways. There is no on-site U.S. Customs facility, so international arrivals should plan CBP clearance at Harry Reid International unless an operator has confirmed a current alternative arrangement.
