Operational Profile

Porto Heli Airport permanently ceased operations in 2008, and its 678-metre runway is no longer certified for any traffic. No jet, turboprop, or piston charter aircraft can land here today. Visitors to Porto Cheli reach the area by road or helicopter transfer from Athens, or by fixed-wing charter into nearby active airports such as Kalamata or Athens Eleftherios Venizelos, followed by a road or sea transfer.

Transfers & Connections

Porto Cheli village and the Amanzoe resort are reachable within 10 minutes by road from the apron. The Ermioni ferry terminal, connecting to Spetses and Hydra — both car-free islands with significant private villa ownership — is approximately 20 minutes by car or 5 minutes by speedboat from the PKH ramp. Clients bound for Spetses almost universally transit through PKH rather than Athens, cutting total door-to-door time significantly. Helicopter connections to Nafplion, Epidaurus, and Mycenae cultural sites can be arranged via local operators. There is no direct rail or motorway link; road transfer is the sole surface option, typically via the Argolida coastal road from Nafplio (approximately 90 minutes).
