Private Jet Amalfi (NAP)

Amalfi has no airfield of its own, so private aviation access runs almost entirely through Naples International Airport (NAP/LIRN), roughly 50 kilometres to the north along the increasingly narrow Amalfi Coast road. That geography is exactly why charter is the default arrival mode for high-value guests — there is no direct commercial link to Amalfi, and a road transfer from Naples can run past 90 minutes in peak season traffic, versus under 20 minutes by helicopter.

Airports and ground access

Customs clearance for private aviation runs around the clock with advance notice to the handling agent, but July and August tighten slot availability considerably — positioning flights should be filed 48 to 72 hours ahead, and further out around the Ravello Festival (June–September) and the Regata Storica delle Antiche Repubbliche Marinare, both of which draw concentrated demand from Milan, London, Geneva and Gulf-based charter clients.

From the ramp, most arriving guests transfer onward by helicopter — AgustaWestland or Airbus H145 aircraft flown by Naples-based operators — cutting the run to Amalfi town to 15–18 minutes and bypassing the SS163 coast road entirely. The alternative, a chauffeured transfer via the A3 to Vietri and then along the coast, takes 75 to 95 minutes depending on season and traffic. Ravello, the hilltop festival town above Amalfi, adds a further 20 minutes by road; Capri is reachable by fast tender from Amalfi marina in around 45 minutes.

Once on the ground, the destination delivers on the logistics: a UNESCO-listed coastline of terraced lemon groves and limestone cliffs, Michelin-starred dining clustered along the marina and up in Ravello, and a concentration of Italian and international yacht traffic through the summer.
