For larger aircraft — Falcon 7X, Global 6000, Gulfstream G650 — the standard protocol is to position into Geneva or Chambéry and arrange helicopter or ground transfer into Courchevel. Chambéry Savoie Airport sits roughly 80km downhill and handles wide-body-capable approaches with customs, making it the preferred alternate.

The clientele profile is unambiguous: UHNWI families, hedge fund principals, Russian and Middle Eastern ownership groups, and European royalty have historically concentrated here during the Courchevel season. Off-season operations are minimal — the altiport closes entirely outside the winter season and for certain weather windows.
