Doha has emerged as one of the most strategically positioned cities in global business aviation. Hamad International Airport (OTHH/DOH) sits at the geographic crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, making it a natural tech-stop hub and a terminus for major UHNWI and corporate traffic across the Gulf Cooperation Council. The airport's Qatar Executive terminal provides dedicated VIP handling, private lounges, and direct ramp access that bypasses the commercial terminal entirely — a critical operational advantage on high-security or high-profile missions.

The city's economic gravity is substantial. Doha hosts the headquarters of Qatar Petroleum (QatarEnergy), the Qatar Investment Authority, and a dense concentration of sovereign wealth and family office activity. The West Bay financial district, the Msheireb Downtown regeneration zone, and the Lusail City development corridor collectively drive consistent executive travel demand — both inbound from European and Asian counterparts and outbound for deal roadshows. The Doha Forum and Qatar F1 Grand Prix reliably generate peak charter traffic windows requiring early slot and handler coordination.

Operationally, OTHH is non-restrictive for private aviation: no PPR requirement for most operators, 24/7 customs and immigration, and full MTOW clearance for ultra-long-range airframes including the Global 7500, Falcon 8X, and G700. Fuel uplift, catering, and overflight permits for onward routing through Saudi, UAE, or Omani airspace are handled efficiently by Qatar Executive and third-party ground agents. Airport identity: Hamad International Airport uses IATA DOH and ICAO OTHH. OTBD identifies the former Doha International Airport and must not be used as the code for Hamad. The two airports must remain distinct in route, handling and transfer data.

Runway and mission profile: Hamad has two long runways, including a 4,850-metre runway, and supports intercontinental aircraft. High summer temperatures still require aircraft-specific performance and ground-service planning even though runway length is ample.

Private-flight handling: The airport and selected operator must confirm the accepted terminal, handler, parking, customs process and passenger flow for the specific movement. Flyius does not infer that an FBO documented at the former Doha airport is located at Hamad International.

Permits and onward sectors: Overflight, landing and handling requirements depend on the route and aircraft registration. These items are confirmed by the operator before the charter is presented as operationally accepted.
