Private jet charter in Goa

Goa holds a unique position in India's private aviation landscape: it is simultaneously a high-frequency leisure destination and a credible business gateway serving pharma, mining, and hospitality conglomerates with regional offices along the Konkan coast. The state attracts an estimated 8–9 million domestic tourists annually, but the UHNWI segment — arriving for destination weddings, new year events at private villas, and Sunburn Festival — generates disproportionate private jet traffic between November and March, with charter rates and positioning costs peaking sharply over Christmas and New Year's Eve.

Goa International Airport (VAGO / GOI), known as Dabolim, is a joint-use civil-military facility operated by the Indian Navy and Airports Authority of India. The primary runway 08/26 measures 3,326 metres, comfortably handling large-cabin jets including the Global 6000 and Gulfstream G650 without payload penalty. General aviation handling is managed through the dedicated GA apron, with the primary handler being AAM (formerly known as Airworks) alongside Bird WorldWide Flight Services, both operating under AAI oversight. Customs and immigration are available during airport operating hours with advance notice, and PPR is required for all non-scheduled operations.

Since December 2022, Mopa Airport (Manohar International Airport, IATA: GOX) in North Goa has emerged as an alternative entry point, purpose-built without the military constraints of Dabolim and offering more agile GA handling. For charters originating from Dubai or Munich, Mopa's uncongested apron and proximity to the luxury resort belt around Vagator and Morjim provides a measurably faster ramp-to-villa experience. Both airports accept international private flights; the choice between them hinges on which resort cluster the client is heading to.
