Laesø is the least-trafficked permanently inhabited island in Denmark, sitting in the Kattegat between Jutland and Sweden. The island's appeal to UHNWI and high-net-worth leisure travelers centers on absolute seclusion. Laesø holds the largest area of salt marshes and historical salt-boiling heritage in Scandinavia, and its beaches — particularly Hornfiskrøn and Rønnerne — remain largely undeveloped. The summer season from June through August draws Nordic families and European visitors seeking zero crowd density, while the September salt harvest festival attracts culinary connoisseurs from Copenhagen, Malmö, and Hamburg.
