Private jet charter in Lech

Lech am Arlberg, population approximately 1,500 permanent residents, sits at 1,450 metres in Vorarlberg and ranks consistently among Europe's most expensive ski destinations. The resort's clientele includes European royalty — the Dutch and Belgian royal families have long-standing ties to Lech — alongside tech founders, family offices, and hedge fund principals. Winter occupancy at top addresses commands rates comparable to Monaco real estate, and private aviation demand spikes sharply from mid-December through late March, with a secondary pulse during the FIS World Cup events at nearby St. Anton.

No commercial or general aviation airport exists in Lech itself. The two principal gateways for private jets are Innsbruck Airport (LOWI/INN), approximately 75 km to the east with a transfer time of 80–100 minutes by road, and Friedrichshafen Airport (EDNY/FDH) in Germany, roughly 100 km to the north with transfers of 90–120 minutes depending on conditions. A third option, St. Gallen-Altenrhein (LSZR/ACH) in Switzerland, suits lighter jets and adds a scenic Vorarlberg approach. Sion (SIR) and Zurich (ZRH) are occasionally used for transatlantic-configured aircraft that cannot operate into mountain airports.

Innsbruck is the preferred gateway for most operators given its instrument approach capability in poor visibility, its ground handling infrastructure, and shorter road distance. INN operates 24-hour customs during peak season. Friedrichshafen offers a less congested alternative with good ramp capacity and efficient handling through its FBO facilities. Helicopter transfers from INN to Lech village are available on request from dedicated alpine charter operators, reducing surface transfer time to under 20 minutes when weather permits.
