Ground Handling

The general aviation terminal at ALC is operated by Groundforce, which provides ramp handling, fuelling, and crew coordination. Swissport also operates a handling contract at the field for select operator agreements. The airport sits 9 km southwest of Alicante city centre via the AP-7 and N-332, with transfer times of approximately 15 minutes in off-peak traffic and up to 30 minutes during August coastal congestion. Benidorm is 45 km north along the AP-7; Murcia city is approximately 75 km south. The port of Alicante, a primary superyacht berth during the Volvo Ocean Race stopover and the spring–autumn cruising season, is under 20 minutes by road. For clients targeting the northern Costa Blanca or Valencia, Barcelona or Madrid may offer more direct positioning, but ALC provides the closest jet access to the Altea–Dénia–Jávea triangle without a secondary transfer.
