The NAV Portugal VFR aerodrome information distinguishes this physical dimension from declared distances. Its declared-distance table dated 31 October 2024 gives a TORA of 1,412 m and an LDA of 1,270 m in both directions, with a note about a 142 m initial extension. TORA is the take-off run available; LDA is the landing distance available. These figures describe different measurements and should not be substituted for one another.

Agree the aircraft and island itinerary together

A runway dimension does not establish that a particular jet or turboprop can carry your party into São Jorge.
