Palma Arrival: What to Expect at PMI in Peak Season

Palma de Mallorca Airport (LEPA / PMI) is a joint-use commercial and general aviation field — 30 million commercial passengers in peak years share infrastructure with a busy charter market. The business aviation terminal (handling provided by operators including Swissport Business Aviation) is separated from the main terminal, which is the point: your client clears customs and is in a car within 10–15 minutes of landing, while commercial arrivals queue through the main hall.

A same-day Frankfurt–Palma–Frankfurt is technically feasible but rarely sensible on this route. Palma is a leisure destination, not a business hub — same-day returns are the exception, usually for property viewings or short owner visits during shoulder season. If you're planning one, a 08:00 departure from EDDF lands you in PMI by 10:30 local, giving a window until roughly 16:30 before a return departure that gets you back in Frankfurt by 19:00 local.
