The airport operates with PPR (Prior Permission Required) year-round. Slot coordination is essential during peak ski season (mid-December through late March) and during the Gstaad events calendar (July–August). Departure Profile: London

Farnborough (EGLF) is the preferred departure point for this route. It operates as a dedicated business aviation airport with no commercial traffic, no queuing at security, and ramp access that puts passengers aboard within 10 minutes of arrival at the terminal. Transfer from central London (Mayfair/Knightsbridge) to Farnborough is 45–55 minutes by road, longer during evening rush on the A3/M3. For a morning departure, budget 50 minutes from SW1. Farnborough has a curfew: no jet departures between 23:00 and 06:00 local. For ski-season Thursday evening departures, this is rarely a constraint, but worth noting for very late slots.

Luton (EGGW) is a viable alternative, particularly if passengers are coming from north or east London. Signature Aviation and Harrods Aviation both operate FBOs there. Transfer to central London is 40–60 minutes by car, longer during peak hours. Luton is marginally less preferred for this route due to more mixed traffic, but operationally equivalent. A meeting or site visit window of 09:30–15:00 gives five and a half hours on the ground. Depart Saanen at 15:30, back at Farnborough by 17:00. That works for a chalet inspection, a bank meeting in the village, or a short ski day — but it assumes weather cooperation at Saanen both ways. Build a contingency: if Saanen is IMC on the return, you are driving to Geneva and catching a commercial flight, which breaks your London schedule entirely.
