Rijeka city centre is approximately 30 kilometres from the airport, reachable via the A7 motorway in around 25–30 minutes under normal traffic conditions. Opatija, the principal UHNWI leisure destination on the Kvarner coast, is reached in roughly 35 minutes. Lošinj Island — accessible via the Cres–Lošinj causeway — requires an additional 90-minute drive from the airport, making helicopter positioning a logical complement for clients with yachts at anchor off Mali Lošinj.
