About the Bombardier Learjet 60
The Learjet 60 is the mature high point of the marque's midsize line — the model that finally paired the brand's legendary performance with a cabin operators actually called comfortable. Introduced in 1993, it widened and reshaped the fuselage and fitted strong Pratt & Whitney Canada PW305A turbofans, engines so powerful the 60 became renowned for blistering climb, reaching its cruising altitude faster than almost anything in its class. The combination of a genuinely roomy cabin, strong performance and good range made it the best-selling Learjet of its generation: with around 30 in European charter, it is by far the most numerous classic Learjet on the continent. Range is 3,526 km at 895 km/h. It carries 8 passengers (up to 9). The 60 is the Learjet that got everything right at once.
Performance Excellence
Two crew operate the Learjet 60 across 3,526 km / 1,905 nm at up to 895 km/h (483 ktas) on Pratt & Whitney Canada PW305A turbofans — powerful engines that gave the type its renowned rapid climb. Around 30 examples serve European charter at roughly €5,500 per hour, the largest classic-Learjet fleet in the region. Its case is completeness: the roomiest Learjet cabin, strong performance and a famously fast climb, in the best-selling and most available midsize the marque produced — the mature peak of the Learjet line.
Cabin Comfort
The Learjet 60's cabin is the most spacious the marque ever produced — 5.39 m long, 1.78 m wide, 1.73 m tall — far wider and taller than the snug Learjets that came before, and the change is transformative. Eight passengers in a club-four and facing pair sit with real shoulder room and near stand-up height, in a cabin that feels like a proper midsize lounge rather than a fast capsule. The wider fuselage allows a flat aisle and comfortable seats, and by the 60's production years the interior finish had reached a standard worthy of the cabin's new generosity. The powerful engines mean passengers reach smooth, high cruise remarkably quickly. It is the Learjet cabin reconciled, finally, with the comfort the rest of the class took for granted.
High-speed WiFi keeps you connected throughout your flight, allowing you to work or stay in touch. A full galley enables fresh catering service during your journey. A private lavatory ensures comfort on longer flights.
