About the Cessna Citation VI

The Citation VI is the value member of the swept-wing Citation III line. Where the III had been Cessna's prestige mid-cabin with a glass cockpit and a fully-specified interior, the VI was the same proven airframe and the same fast Garrett TFE731 engines, stripped of the most expensive options to bring it within reach of operators who wanted the III's performance without the III's price. The result is a fast — 1,006 km/h cruise — long-legged midsize that punches well above its acquisition cost. It carries 8 passengers (up to 9), with around 10 in European charter. The VI is the swept-wing Citation in its most affordable form — the airframe and the speed of the III, in the trim that put it within reach.

Performance Excellence

Two crew operate the Citation VI across 3,756 km / 2,030 nm at up to 1,006 km/h (543 ktas) on Garrett TFE731 turbofans — the same powerful engines as the Citation III, making the VI one of the faster midsize jets of its era. Around 10 examples serve European charter at roughly €4,900 per hour. Its case is the swept-wing airframe at the value entry price: the III's speed and cabin at a meaningfully lower acquisition cost, in the trim that broadened access to the Citation midsize line.

Cabin Comfort

The Citation VI's cabin is the swept-wing Citation III's space — 5.39 m long, 1.78 m wide, 1.73 m tall — with the same generous near-stand-up height and the five large windows per side that fill it with light. What sets the VI apart is the deliberate restraint of the original outfitting: the interior was specified to a simpler standard than the III, in keeping with the variant's value positioning, but the architecture is the same. Eight passengers in a club-four and pair sit in a cabin sized like a midsize and lit like a larger one. Most VIs have been re-trimmed at least once over their long lives, so the modest original finish is rarely what a charter passenger sees today — the cabin almost always wears a more recent refurbishment in keeping with current expectations.

High-speed WiFi keeps you connected throughout your flight, allowing you to work or stay in touch. A full galley enables fresh catering service during your journey. A private lavatory ensures comfort on longer flights.
