About the Embraer Phenom 100
Before the Phenom 100 entered service in 2008, the entry-level jet market was a regional one — small American workhorses owned by Americans, designed for the kind of utilisation US distances reward. Then Embraer, the Brazilian airliner manufacturer, decided to build a business jet for the first time and aimed straight at this same segment. The result rewrote the brief.
The Phenom 100 brought commercial-aviation engineering thinking to a four-seat cabin: damage-tolerant structures, systems with the kind of redundancy regulators expect on airliners, and a maintenance philosophy designed for high cycle counts rather than weekend pleasure. European pilot-owners noticed immediately. Today the type populates fleets from Geneva to Tallinn in numbers that reset what entry-level utilisation can look like.
For charter clients, the 100 is the most rational way to fly two-to-four people across the dense European map: Munich to Saint-Tropez, London to Geneva, Vienna to Venice. Around €3,200 per flight hour, single-pilot operations, runways under 1,100 metres, and 2,182 km of range that covers most of the relevant city pairs without question.
Performance Excellence
Four passenger seats, 2,182 km of range, 863 km/h maximum cruise — and a Pratt & Whitney PW617F-E engine pairing that delivers some of the lowest fuel burn rates in any twin-jet certified. Garmin Prodigy avionics — the original Embraer name for an integrated G1000-derived suite — gave the 100 commercial-aviation-style situational awareness from day one. Field performance allows operations from runways under 1,100 m, which keeps small European business airports and island strips in the dispatch envelope. Chartered around €3,200 per hour, the 100 is the entry-level jet built like the airliner you ride into the airport — and priced like the alternative you'd otherwise be choosing.
Cabin Comfort
Embraer's airliner background shows up in unexpected places — none more than the cabin's pressurisation, which keeps altitude lower than competitors and translates directly into how passengers feel after 90 minutes. The four-seat club layout is deliberately uncluttered: leather, smart use of curved sidewalls, and a flat floor that — despite the very-light category — does not force a crouch between seats.
A separate enclosed lavatory is standard rather than optional, an externally accessed baggage hold takes four cabin bags plus a set of skis, and the in-flight noise level is among the lowest in the class. The 100 was Embraer's calling card to a new market — built like an aeroplane that has to dispatch tomorrow morning, not a toy that has to look impressive on the ramp. Repeat passengers tend to use the same word about it: serious.
High-speed WiFi keeps you connected throughout your flight, allowing you to work or stay in touch. A full galley enables fresh catering service during your journey. A private lavatory ensures comfort on longer flights.
