Reykjavik's midsummer festivals and the growing calendar of golf and fishing gatherings across the country compress availability into narrow windows, and slot coordination applies at the busiest airports in peak season, meaning Keflavik in particular can require earlier confirmation than travellers arriving from more flexible markets are used to. Customs clearance is typically handled at the FBO, which keeps arrival formalities straightforward even when the airfield itself is operating near capacity.

For those routing onward, Reykjavik remains the natural hub. The most requested connections include Reykjavik to Brussels at around three hours twenty-two minutes, Reykjavik to Dublin in roughly two hours twenty-seven, and the longer run to Barcelona at close to four hours thirty-five. Inbound, London to Reykjavik at about three hours is the steadiest of the leisure routes, feeding directly into the winter aurora season and the summer coastal circuit alike.
