Mykolaiv International Airport (NLV / UKON) serves the port-industrial city of Mykolaiv, situated at the confluence of the Southern Bug and Inhul rivers in southern Ukraine. Mykolaiv city centre lies approximately 12km from the airport via the M14 highway, historically a 15–20 minute transfer. The city hosts the headquarters of several major Ukrainian agribusiness and defence-industrial groups. Pre-war, onward ground connections ran south toward Kherson (60km) and west toward Odesa (130km).
