Ukraine private aviation market is currently limited due to the ongoing conflict that began in February 2022, with Ukrainian airspace closed to civilian aviation. Operations are suspended for direct flights to and from Ukraine. Flyius continues to monitor the situation and will resume service to Ukraine airports, including Kyiv Boryspil, Kyiv Zhulyany, and Lviv Danylo Halytskyi, as soon as airspace conditions are certified safe for civil aviation operations.
Pre-War Context
Prior to February 2022, Ukraine was a growing private aviation market with two established routes, driven by Kyiv position as Eastern Europe second-largest tech startup ecosystem, agricultural sector investment, and significant cultural heritage tourism. The country hosted important aviation FBO infrastructure at Kyiv and Dnipro for energy and agricultural sector clients.
