About the Bombardier Challenger 604

Where the original Challenger 600 proved the wide-cabin idea, the 604 made it work as a business. Bombardier launched it in 1996 with the General Electric CF34-3B turbofans the airframe had been waiting for, a glass cockpit, and — most importantly — fuel: range jumped to 7,408 km, enough to cross the Atlantic non-stop. Suddenly the Challenger cabin could go where it had always wanted to. It carries 10 passengers (up to 12) at 998 km/h, and around 85 examples now serve European charter.
