About the Cessna Citation II

The Citation II was Cessna's masterstroke of incremental engineering. Taking the original Citation I, the company stretched the fuselage, added two cabin windows per side, fitted more powerful engines and extended the wing — turning a compact entry jet into a roomier, longer-legged one without starting from scratch. The result outsold everything in its class: the Citation II became one of the most-produced business jets in history, and for years it was simply the default light jet, the aircraft a company bought when it bought its first jet. Range reached 2,000 km at 796 km/h. It carries 6 passengers (up to 7), with around 15 in European charter. The II is the volume Citation — the one that put thousands of companies into the air.

Performance Excellence

Flown by one or two crew, the Citation II covers 2,000 km / 1,080 nm at up to 796 km/h (430 ktas) on Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-4 turbofans — the stretched, more powerful development of the original Citation. Around 15 examples serve European charter at roughly €3,500 per hour. Its case is proven ubiquity: one of the best-selling business jets ever made, abundant, well-understood and inexpensive to operate, with the roomier stretched cabin that made it the default first jet for a generation of operators.

Cabin Comfort

The Citation II's cabin earns its character from the stretch that created it: at 4.93 m long, 1.49 m wide and 1.44 m tall, it is meaningfully roomier than the Citation I it grew from, and the two extra windows Cessna added per side are its most visible signature — they flood the cabin with daylight and make a compact light-jet interior feel notably more open. Six passengers in a club-four and pair benefit from the additional length in legroom and the brighter, airier feel the extra glass brings. It is a cabin defined by what the stretch added: more room, more light, more of everything that makes a small jet pleasant, achieved by lengthening a proven design rather than reinventing it.

High-speed WiFi keeps you connected throughout your flight, allowing you to work or stay in touch. A full galley enables fresh catering service during your journey. A private lavatory ensures comfort on longer flights.
