About the Cessna Citation V

The Citation V, the Model 560 of 1989, is where Cessna's straight-wing light-jet line reached maturity. Building on the S/II's improved wing, the V added more powerful Pratt & Whitney JT15D-5 engines and a refined airframe, lifting range to 2,963 km and cruise to 845 km/h — a genuinely capable light jet rather than an entry-level one. It became the best-selling member of the straight-wing family, and with around 25 in European charter it is the most numerous of these classic Citations on the continent, which makes it the one most readily available for a booking. It carries 6 passengers (up to 7). The V is the straight-wing Citation grown into its full potential — the most powerful, most capable and most available of a long and successful line.

Performance Excellence

Flown by one or two crew, the Citation V covers 2,963 km / 1,600 nm at up to 845 km/h (456 ktas) on Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-5 turbofans — the most powerful of the straight-wing Citations. Around 25 examples serve European charter at roughly €3,700 per hour, the largest fleet of the line in the region. Its case is capability and availability: the most powerful, longest-legged and best-developed of the classic straight-wing Citations, abundant enough to be the one a broker can most readily source — the mature peak of Cessna's original light-jet family.

Cabin Comfort

The Citation V's cabin — 4.72 m long, 1.47 m wide, 1.47 m tall — is the most refined of the straight-wing Citations, with slightly more headroom than the earlier II and the benefit of being the line's final, best-developed iteration. Six passengers in a club-four and pair sit in an interior that, by the V's production years, Cessna had polished across more than a decade of continuous Citation manufacture: better materials, quieter cabin treatment, more thoughtful detailing. The more powerful engines also mean the V climbs out of the lower altitudes faster, so passengers reach smooth cruise sooner. With more Citation Vs in European charter than any other straight-wing model, this is the version of the classic Citation cabin most travellers will actually experience.

High-speed WiFi keeps you connected throughout your flight, allowing you to work or stay in touch. A full galley enables fresh catering service during your journey. A private lavatory ensures comfort on longer flights.
