About the Dassault Falcon 2000
For two decades every large Falcon — the 20, 50, 900 — had carried three engines, a Dassault signature. The Falcon 2000, introduced in 1995, broke that habit. With ETOPS rules opening up, Dassault took the Falcon 900 cabin, shortened it, and recast it around just two CFE738 turbofans, betting that big-cabin private travel no longer needed a third engine. The result carries 12 passengers (up to 14) over 4,462 km at 1,020 km/h — heavy-jet pace and a Falcon-quality cabin, at twin-engine economics. The 2000 founded the second great Falcon line, the one the 2000LX, S and LXS would extend for the next thirty years.
Performance Excellence
Two crew operate the Falcon 2000 across 4,462 km / 2,410 nm at up to 1,020 km/h (551 ktas) on twin CFE738 power. Around 30 remain in European charter at roughly €9,500 per hour. By modern standards the original 2000 has been overtaken by its EX, LX and LXS descendants, but its place is foundational: the moment Dassault stepped from three engines to two and opened the line every twin Falcon flying today belongs to.
Cabin Comfort
The 2000 inherited the Falcon 900's cabin cross-section and shortened it to 7.65 m — wide where it counts at 2.34 m, with 1.83 m of headroom, sized for twelve passengers in a forward club, a mid four-place arrangement and a divan aft. Dassault's flat-floor and oval section meant nothing in the cabin reminded passengers that an engine had been removed: the same hush, the same finish, the same large windows the trijet flagships carried. It is the cabin of an aircraft that proved a Falcon could be a twin without being a smaller Falcon.
High-speed WiFi keeps you connected throughout your flight, allowing you to work or stay in touch. A full galley enables fresh catering service during your journey. A private lavatory ensures comfort on longer flights.
