About the Dassault Falcon 900
When Dassault rolled out the Falcon 900 in 1987, the rest of the business-jet world had settled on two engines and worked around the limitations. Dassault — a manufacturer steeped in military fighter and patrol design — went the other way. The 900 has three Honeywell TFE731-5BR engines, with the centre engine buried in the tail in S-duct style. The third engine bought genuine overwater capability without the operational restrictions that bound twin-jets in 1987, and the same redundancy that gave the airframe its military feel. Range reached 4,428 km at 1,022 km/h. It carries 12 passengers (up to 14), with around 20 in European charter. The 900 is the original purpose-built business trijet, and it is the airframe every later 900 variant is a refinement of.
Performance Excellence
Three crew operate the original 900 across 4,428 km / 2,390 nm at up to 1,022 km/h (552 ktas) on three Honeywell TFE731-5BR turbofans — the engine count that defined the variant. Around 20 examples serve European charter at roughly €9,000 per hour, making this the most affordable entry into the 900 cabin. Newer 900s have the longer legs and the touchscreens, but this is the airframe that proved the trijet concept and that still carries its 12 passengers in the same width and quiet that put the family on the map.
Cabin Comfort
The Falcon 900's cabin set a width benchmark for its era and still holds up: 10.11 m long, 2.34 m wide, 1.88 m tall, with stand-up headroom along the full length. Twelve passengers spread across a forward club, a mid-cabin four-place arrangement and an aft three-place divan, served by a full galley and an enclosed aft lavatory. The signature of the cabin is the windows — five large windows per side bring the cabin daylight that the narrower midsize Falcons of the era simply could not match. And the third engine's signature shows up in passenger comfort too: with the centre engine carrying its share, the wing engines run more lightly, and the cabin is measurably quieter at cruise than a twin pushed to the same speed.
High-speed WiFi keeps you connected throughout your flight, allowing you to work or stay in touch. A full galley enables fresh catering service during your journey. A private lavatory ensures comfort on longer flights.
