About the Dassault Falcon 900 EASy

By 2000, the original Falcon 900s of the late 1980s faced an avionics problem. Their dial-and-CRT cockpits could no longer be supported indefinitely, and the airspace they flew in was moving to required navigation specifications and digital communications. Dassault's answer was the 900 EASy programme — a supplemental type certificate that stripped out the original flight deck and installed the Honeywell Primus Epic EASy system, the same graphical, cursor-driven interface fitted to the new EX EASy. The aircraft kept its airframe, its three engines and its cabin — but gained another two decades of certifiable, capable service. It carries 12 passengers (up to 14) over 5,178 km at 978 km/h. Around 25 examples serve European charter. The EASy is the retrofit that turned end-of-life 900s into modern aircraft again.

Performance Excellence

Three crew operate the 900 EASy across 5,178 km / 2,795 nm at up to 978 km/h (528 ktas) on three Honeywell TFE731 turbofans — the original engines, paired with the modern Primus Epic flight deck. Around 25 examples serve European charter at roughly €9,500 per hour. Its case is the cockpit retrofit: an early 900 airframe with current EASy avionics costs less to buy than a new 900EX, runs to current navigation and communication standards, and offers a passenger experience indistinguishable from a much newer aircraft.

Cabin Comfort

The 900 EASy's cabin is the original Falcon 900 — 10.11 m by 2.34 m by 1.88 m — and the cabin's history is part of its appeal. Most 900 EASys were retrofitted during heavy maintenance, and the cabin is typically refurbished at the same time: new leather, new veneer, new sidewall fabrics, often new seats and cabin management. So passengers boarding a 900 EASy step into a 1980s-vintage airframe presented in a contemporary interior, with the smooth, hushed three-engine ride the family has always offered. Twelve seats arranged forward club, mid four-place and aft three-place divan, with a full galley and enclosed lavatory — the original 900 cabin given a second life one fitting at a time.

High-speed WiFi keeps you connected throughout your flight, allowing you to work or stay in touch. A full galley enables fresh catering service during your journey. A private lavatory ensures comfort on longer flights.
